There are no ads on this site. It is a not-for-profit informational site. That’s just an ironic photo.

These tips were very helpful! I actually have some zinc and L-Glutamine lying around. I have researched manganese lately, and it proves to be helpful for appetite and weight loss. Ironically, it can be found in chocolate and spices. I, too, struggle with anorexia, except that I’m in high school.

I too have had a lifelong struggle with sugar. It has definitely gotten worse over the last 4 years, and I find myself feeling desperate about what to do, hence the search that led me to this website.
I would love to hear anything you have to share. I am starting cognitive behavior therapy next week, and i am hoping to see some results from that.

I hope this finds you well.

Julie

Hi Andrea, I know it is a bit strange to write to you now but I read your story above and it was kind of scary how it resonated with mine? Anorexia, Bulimia and sugar addiction. Even at similiar stages in your life. If you want to respond to this I will be happy to make sure I share any finding I have on the issue to help you along the way. It is also sometimes just good to have someone to be open with about this issue as it can be very isolating.

I hope things are going well for you either way,
Cheers,
Cat

I am in a similar place to our friend in Williamsburg. I am going to find time this weekend to think about what’s been discussed here and I will definitely pick up some of these supplements you recommended. The 5-HTC in particular sounds like it would be a good one to use. Thanks again.
